Project 2 - Web Page Design

This article talked about the devices we use today and how they will be embedded in them. And also talked about all the social networks and how they all collaborate. Also talks about the trends of social networking on devices today. In the end it ties everything together and explains and shows how everything comes together in this social network that we have on our devices today.

The positive and negative impacts on society are all based on the social networks on everyones devices and how they all come together. Most of the social networks come together in some way. But the devices and make it come together brings everything together and makes the outcome a lot better.

This doesnt really affect me all all because I don't really have a lot of social networks. Just one. Also I don't have any devices for social networking other then a computer. But If I had several social networks and a device I would see how this would affect me and everything I do when I use the Web.

The diffrence between Web 1.0 and Web 2.0 are very diffrent. Web 1.0 is very slow and not as new and has a lot of old stuff on it. Web 2.0 is very fast and has a lot of cool stuff on it and it is used more often by other people. So that is the diffrence of web 1.0 and web 2.0.

Technology blog #7

It started to tell the story of the mom and dad's hovering over their child and watching every step they make in life. And then it started to talk about hovering your children is a dangerous thing to do. Also that all kids disobey once or twice in their life, or more, and that if they do you shouldn't be hovering over them and making sure they do the right thing. It then said that if you wanted your child to succeed, then leave them alone and let them do their business. How they got to being a hovering parent is caring to much for their safety and one parent took pictures of their child every day so if that child got kidnapped they would have a recent picture of them.

I think it is a good thing that parents are protective and want to know what were doing. But it seems to me that not all parents are like that. I'd like to think that a teenager wrote that article, because they understand what if feels like to be followed by your parents every day. But its not a teen, its an adult. This Adult that wrote this article must understand what if feels like to be watched over by your parents 247, or he could have experience this to. What I'm trying to say that sometimes its good to watch over you child and know what their doing, but not all the time and not every day. Just make sure their doing good things and also doing good in life with jobs and school. Hovering over you child is not a problem, but watching them at school and everywhere else they go is just wrong. So just stop if your a hoverer, its annoying.

Technology blog # 6

In this blog it is talking about how the Internet uses weapons. Also how many people can become hackers in America. Also how people can shut down things with even a lap top. President Obama is trying to figure out this problem. And they have to figure this problem out before someone or something happens and something shuts down. Some people love hacking in to things and they think we should all try stopping those people before they get bigger.

I think that it is a problem, because many people out their are hacking. Hacking is a bad think to do because i think you could get into deep trouble. I also think that if your hacking into the government and you don't get caught you pretty good , but you should stop and cause happiness not sadness to this country. Its a good thing Obama is working on this so nothing happens to America and its people. Also I hope that hackers read this article to think about what kind of trouble their getting into and to stop and help not abuse this Country.

Technology Blog #5

Its going to talk about many people in America that use to much Internet in their daily lives. They had Stanford University do a report of Americans spending to much time on the Internet and searching things for hours. Its then talked about a girl committing suicide, because she was getting bullied on the Internet. And after the long discussions they have found out that people in America are using the Internet and chat web sites like face book as a crutch. By saying this they mean that people are using the Internet to talk to people and this could mean they couldn't talk to them face to face when they meet them, and that's why chat rooms like face book are being viewed as a crutch to people in America.

I think that they are right about people using to much Internet in America, and how some Americans should cut back on their Internet on a daily basis. Also that it was a good thing to have some University students to do some research on this subject, because they are mostly teens doing this and they are losing their physical activities. After spending a long time on the Internet their was a girl killed and i think that they should pretty much have a time limit on the computer and the Internet. I have a time limit on my computer and it shuts off when it is over. I think this helps me, because that makes me get off and do something productive instead of sitting their chatting. face booking could be a fun thing to do but when people spend to much time they get addicted and can't stop. I think that every computer should have a lock down system on the Internet so that people in America don't fall behind in their lives.

Technology Blog # 4

This Blog is going to start talking about translation and which is better to translate it, humans, or machines. It also started to talk about translations on every day used web sites, like google, face book, ect. And right now their thinking of some ways of getting some translation tools on those web sites for the people that don't know the language. First they start out with Face books translation and how its going to work and how people are going to use it, ect. After making face books translation they move on to google and pretty much do the same thing with google as they did with face book. Finally today they are still trying to decide which is better, A google translation ( machine ) or a every day human that knows many languages.

I like how they are trying to decide it because some day some human will want to know what something says, and should know which to use, a human or machine. Also i think its a good thing that their using known web sites for most of the translations, so it is easier to access when you need a translation. When they were making the Face book, and Google translation, i thought that it would be a good idea to do the most known languages that are commonly used other then every single language. Other then that I think that its good that they're doing this, so that people can translate stuff in seconds, other then asking a human and have them thinking about it, or even looking in a book. I just think technology has expanded and that we should all just use machines ( computers ) ( translators ) for making simple translations in seconds.

Technology blog #3

This article so far talks about how teens are losing sleep by using electronic devices and staying up way late using face book and talking to friends. And then it talked about what the percentage rate was of the teens staying up late to text and talk to friends, and also the percentage of sleep they are losing by doing this. In the next few paragraphs it talks about teens not only losing sleep but also affecting their health. The scientists in this article are just trying to explain the cause and the effect this has a teenagers and how this can effect their lives. Unlimited texting is what makes the teens think that they should stay up all night texting their friends or girl/boy friends, and lose sleep. So scientist are saying that parents are to help or take away the teens phone or electronic device to help them gain more sleep.

I think that the scientists and the article maker have done a good job of finding their facts and putting them in order. I also think that they have done a good job of finding the percentage rates of teens using cell phones and staying up all night. I agree that teens are losing sleep by doing this and should just turn off their phones and get sleep. I'm a person that likes to sleep, so i don't have a problem of doing this but i think its sad that teens out their would waste their time texting someone all night. In my mind I wonder why my parents don't give me a phone, is it the money or staying up texting all night and all day. I'm pretty sure its both, but the important one is getting sleep and not texting all day when you could be doing something healthy. And if taking away cell phones work then do it.

Technology Blog #2

This talks about how you can use face book and the rules of keeping your privacy. It also shows how you can create a friends list, a workers list, and also a family list. This is for the people you want for them to see what you are posting on face book. Also says that if you do this you can block the people you don't want reading your status or looking at your pictures and pick the people that you do want to see your stuff. You can also block you info from the people that you don't want people seeing and you would also have to put them into groups, and click on the ones that you want to see the most. It also talks about other people, that aren't your friends getting blocked by your face book so they cant read what you've been posting, so that they would have to add you as a friend.

I think this is a good way of keeping your face book safe. Privacy has always been something to me and sometimes i didn't want people seeing my status so i wouldn't say anything but now that i know this I think i want to do that so some people like my family can't see my status and that is very sneaky. One of the things that I like most of what they did about this was, that they put it in groups and you can pick those groups so you know who is looking at your face book and who is blocked from seeing of what you posted. One of the coolest thing I didn't know what that you could block other people that aren't your friends from seeing your face book, and reading your information and seeing your pictures. Anyways i think this is a good idea, and every one that has a face book should use this, to keep your privacy!
